Brad Hirschfield is the author of You Don’t Have To Be Wrong For Me To Be Right: Finding Faith Without Fanaticism (2008), and the editor of Remember for Life: Holocaust Survivors’ Stories of Faith and Hope (2007). He is co-host of Hirschfield and Kula: Intelligent Talk Radio on KXL Newsradio 750 in Portland, Oregon. Listed as one of the nation’s 50 most influential rabbis in Newsweek, and one of the top 30 “Preachers and Teachers” by Beliefnet.com, he is the creator of the landmark series, Building Bridges, and American Pilgrimage, both airing on Bridges TV. He is Co-President of CLAL-The National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership, a leadership training institute, think-tank, and resource center and was featured in the powerful film, Freaks Like Me, which explores our fear of the “other.” He is a popular speaker often quoted in the press, a frequent guest on Tru-TV (formerly Court TV), and appears regularly in the national media. He was featured in PBS-TV’s “Frontline: Faith and Doubt at Ground Zero,” and is a blogger for Beliefnet.com (Windows & Doors) and the Washington Post/Newsweek—On Faith online column.

Watch this video profile that traces Brad's experiences through when he joined a fanatical Israeli sect in the West Bank to him turning his back on violence imposed by religious extremism in efforts to create a worldwide multi-faith conflict resolution initiative he refers to as "Bridge Building".
